1. In this situation I would have decided that the snake should not have got his poison because he took advantage of the privilege of having poison and he misused it.
OR
Instead of giving him poison and a rattle I would have given him teeth and a rattle, so instead of poisoning the enemy he could just bite him.
2. I think Hurston chose to tell the story in dialect because to make the story more interesting, to show the form of a language that is spoken by people in a different culture and social groups, and to honor the tradition of oral storytelling.
